Q: What if scrapbooking is not my hobby?
A: Petticoat Junction is designed and furnished with scrapbooking in mind, but we welcome all crafters or those looking to just get away for a fun and relaxing weekend. So whether your hobby is quilting, stamping, knitting or simply just reading a book, "The Junction" would love to have you!
Q: Where is the Crop Room?
A: The Crop room is upstairs. There
is a dumbwaiter system that uses a pulley to bring your
things up to the balcony of the crop room. So, no dragging
those heavy things up the stairs! If you have those in
your party that can't climb the stairs, we can set up a
special scrapping space for them downstairs.
Q: Is Petticoat Junction open to others?
A: Yes, the house may be booked for church and corporate retreats, weddings, showers, birthday parties, family functions and whatever else you can dream up!
Q: When is Check-In/Out?
A: Check-in time is 12:00 pm on the day of your scheduled retreat and check-out is 3:00 pm on the scheduled day of departure.
Q: What are the minimum/maximum guests at a retreat?
A: We have beds and crop tables for 15. However if your group is willing to squeeze together, you are welcome to bring more and provide your own air mattresses and bedding. There will be an additional charge for meals for occupancy beyond 15.
Q: What if we want to extend our stay and make it a 3 or 4-day retreat?
A: You are welcome to stay an extra day. An extra night is only $30 per person. Catering can possibly be arranged for extra days, or you are welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen. Restaurants and groceries are only 7 minutes away in Tullahoma. Advance registration for an extended stay is greatly appreciated but we will do our best to accommodate last minute requests.
Q: What are the sleeping arrangements?
A: Petticoat Junction has 4 large bedrooms. "Glamour Girls" is downstairs next to the kitchen, has three beds and an attached half bath. "Dream Girls" is downstairs off the foyer and has 4 beds. Next door is the full downstairs bath. "Cowgirls" includes 4 beds and can be found at the top of the stairs and is closest to the large upstairs bath. "Girly Girls" is off the upstairs foyer, and has four beds. Extra pillows, and blankets are kept in this closet. Earplugs are provided in each room for those of you who might be bothered by the train or have roommates who snore like a train.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: All you need to bring is yourself and your personal scrapbook/crafting gear! We also suggest warm slippers, comfy sweats and cozy pajamas. The Junction is all about crafting, relaxing and being pampered-no need for makeup and getting dressed up! Complimentary snacks and drinks are provided but you are welcome to bring anything else that would make you feel even more comfortable. We keep a first-aid kit on hand. . For those who crawl into bed in the wee hours of the morning, we suggest bringing an eye mask to help you sleep a few hours longer during the daylight.
Q: Do you have a computer with Internet and Wireless Service?
A: Yes, we have high speed internet on our computer in the craft room with wireless service for those who love to digital scrapbook on their own laptop!
Q: Is there a TV/DVD player?
A: Yes, there is a TV/DVD player in the parlor and another TV player in the crop room. We have a good selection of "chick flicks" to choose from and you are welcome to bring your own as well.
Q: Do you have Dish TV?
A: Yes, we have basic satellite so most of your favorite shows will be on!
Q: Can we listen to music?
A: Yes, there is a stereo in the crop room. Putting in a cd in the DVD player in the parlor while you dine is nice too. You are welcome to bring any of your personal CD collection.
Q: What if I have food allergies?
A: Please let us know if you have any food allergies, our chef will be happy to speak with you directly to ensure to have alternatives for you! If you are on a diet, we suggest you leave that behind temptation will overcome you! Should you have any additional requests we will do whatever we can to work with you.
Q: Is Alcohol allowed?
